On these hills, witnesses to hard work and passion, the soul is refreshed among vineyards and oak woods. The whole Europe passed through them in arms. Centuries of fierce clashes and fruitful encounters. A multi-ethnic melting pot recognizable in dialects, art, food and wine. There was once a sea here. E-bike Awareness offers a self-navigation itinerary (GPS tracks and navigation apps will be provided on your smartphone) with the latest generation pedal assisted mountain bike. You will travel along paved roads that will take you to admire breathtaking views: 40 km, 4 hours of low physical effort but of great emotional satisfaction. Here are all the useful details: - departure from the Awareness E-bike rental in Costa Vescovato AL, return to the place of departure; - first exit 9-13, second 14-18; - comfortable clothing and sneakers are recommended; - possibility of organizing guided tours in cellars with wine tastings (prices and availability to be agreed during the organization phase). Among the Tortonesi Hills by e-bike

A splendid excursion in the heart of the Tortona hills, 4 hours of pure fun.

A unique opportunity to literally put "your hands in the dough" led by Massimo Martina, chef of the splendid "Il Fiorile" farmhouse in Val Borbera valley, an eclectic and "rebellious" personality to taste. The practical lessons change with the seasons: from flowers in the kitchen in spring to dishes based on mushrooms and truffles, without forgetting fresh pasta and in particular ravioli pasta, the main dish of our local tradition. Our project owes its success also (and above all) to the local wineries that collaborate with us, and that offer us wines of the highest quality every day. Today we decided to present them to you, dividing them into the three large areas that distinguish the local wine production. Let's start from the gentle Gavi hills, home of the king of our white wines, the Cortese. Its history is linked to the legend of Princess Gavia, daughter of Clodomiro king of the Franks, who married in secret against the advice of the court and settled in Gavi to escape the king's troops. The name of the vine that gives rise to this wine is due to its beauty and courtesy. Gavi Docg is produced in different types, including Tranquillo, Frizzante, Spumante, Riserva and Riserva spumante classic method. The company's goal is to enhance the many peculiarities of the Tortona area and its exceptional cuisine thanks to the highest quality products: in addition to flour and derived products such as pasta and biscuits, you can also choose all the goodness and well-being of beers, honey and hazelnut and cocoa creams. We chose stone grinding because it is the oldest and still unsurpassed method in the production of high quality flours. We take care of the entire supply chain of our cereals, from the sowing of each single grain to natural stone grinding, thus ensuring healthy, genuine flours with an authentic taste. The knowledge of the territory and the great passion for our work have allowed us to select, over the years, the best varieties of cereals and most suitable for our climate, allowing us to use processing methods that respect what is most dear to us: environment and health. Everyday we grind soft wheat, durum wheat, buckwheat, spelled and corn, which we cultivate with love in our fields. Here at "ledolciterre" you can find an interesting selection of Zerbo products: soft wheat flours "Tipo 1" (the whitest and most refined, suitable for all recipes) and "Tipo 2" (semi-wholemeal, perfect for bread, pizza and pasta), and more rustic and fine polenta of the highest quality.

This space is dedicated to greedy: we have travelled to find the best local pastry chefs, selecting for you real small pastry gems that you can enjoy here, comfortably seated in front of a nice cup of steaming hot chocolate. Let's start with a local institution, the Amaretti di Traverso di Gavi: they were born in 1780 and have kept their (secret) recipe unaltered, handed down from father to son for generations. Unique. Let's move on to Franco Carrea, pastry chef linked to the history of Serravalle and its territory: he shows it every day in his incredible creations, strudel, artisan panettone with unusual combinations (chocolate & Taggiasca olives), but above all the "Baci di Libarna", a delicacy with Piedmontese hazelnuts that comes from the study of the archeology of food linked to the archaeological area of Roman Libarna. If we talk about the territory, we cannot miss Pasticceria Lasagna and the "Amaretto di Novi with pistachio", one of the most popular specialties of our store: selected almonds, egg whites and Sicilian pistachios from Bronte. Definitely enjoyable.
